Friday Afternoon Concert Series: The Barbelfish Balkan Band
Enjoy an afternoon of live music in the Longmont Museum’s Stewart Auditorium this fall featuring an eclectic array of musical acts from up and down the Front Range. Come early to explore the “agriCULTURE: Art Inspired by the Land” exhibit, which is free for members.
Barbelfish specializes in the traditional music of Bulgaria and Macedonia, featuring vocal harmonies alongside a host of instruments including cello, gadulka, bouzouki, tambura, mandolin, guitar, clarinet and kaval. Barbelfish performs lively Balkan dance music along with hauntingly beautiful songs from this ancient musical tradition.
