Fake News: Fact vs Fiction

Ever hear that a celebrity died only to see 10 minutes later that that same celebrity reports that he or she is still alive and well? Fake News is a form of news consisting of deliberate disinformation or hoaxes spread via traditional news media or online social media. In today’s digital age, we are receiving news almost instantaneously. In fact, 62% of adults in the United States get news from social media. But how do you know what’s true and what’s not?

In this virtual learning session hear from Hilary Topper, author of Branding in a Digital World, as she tackles the topic of fake news and how to decipher between what’s fact and what’s fiction.

Registration for this event will close 30 minutes before the scheduled start time. You will receive an email with instructions on how to access this event shortly before your session begins.
