Elevation Baking – Online
Have you ever been disappointed when your favorite recipe failed to produce expected results when made at higher elevation? At altitudes above 3,000 feet, recipes may require changes in time, temperature, or ingredients to achieve desired results. In this basic workshop series, participants will learn about the important role that many ingredients play in baking and about adjustments to make to when baking your favorite recipes.
In this four-week series, we explore a different classic bake good each week.
November 18 – Pumpkin Pie
December 2 — Crusty Bread
December 9 – Soft Rolls
December 16 — Gingerbread
All classes are standalone and do not build on the past week’s skill. You can sign-up for one, all four, or somewhere in-between. Please register if you want to receive a free kit with key ingredients. (Pick-up arranged at your home library.) Participants must provide own milk. eggs, and sugar.
