Capturing a Generation: Tom Macy

Join us in September for a series of fascinating interviews with four local residents who have deep roots in the Windsor, Severance, and West Greeley communities. Claire Richardson from Preserving with Purpose will be leading these interviews, which will feature the residents’ unique life stories, as well as  insights into local history and the many changes our community has seen over time. We hope you’ll join us on Zoom for these special events. All ages welcome. Registration required. Attendees will receive an email with a link to the Zoom meet up prior to the event.

Our guest for September 8 is Tom Macy. A Windsor native, Tom has led a very storied life. As a youth, he spent his time running through backyards with no fences and helping his family manage the Windsor Beacon newspaper, which they owned. As an adult, he was drafted into Vietnam but, after a series of “God moments,” found his way back to Windsor with his wife, Sandy, where he went to work for Kodak. Moving out to a farm, he and his family started a pumpkin patch that has impacted the community for over 10 years.
